what the hell is PHOTOTERRORISM?

Phototerrorism is the art of shooting people and places with digital cameras to document the existence of beauty. We terrorize where we live -- San Diego to be precise -- capturing moments of unbridled enthusiasm, candid split-seconds of American culture, and the beautiful people, the beautiful people. Ever notice how some of the best photos taken are not the expensive, gather-everyone-together productions, but the couple shutters you clicked goofing off with a friend to finish up a roll of film to get it developed? Our philosophy is to shoot first and shoot often.

isn't PHOTOTERRORISM a little insensitive?

We like getting raised eyebrows and questioning looks when we Phototerrorize. The right to take photos is a constitutional right. Phototerrorism is actually a way to desensitize the nature of the word terrorism; this website is actively documenting the fact that US citizens do not fear terrorism: we are going about our work and our playtime without worrying about a few fanatic cowards who are too busy trying to pack bombs in their cameras to figure out how to use them properly to take pictures of pretty things.

OK you PHOTOTERRORISTS, what are you doing with my picture?

Our website designers, DIGITEERS, are rather tech-savvy. This website is designed to showcase what our view of the world through our photography. Many of the pictures on the site, including the ones to your right, are randomly picked from our ever-growing archive of fresh perspective. Feel free to save any of the pictures you see for personal use; commercial use is subject to licensing. Please see our copyright info if you would like to use our pictures in other ways.

I don't want my picture on the Internet!

The Phototerrorists are committed to using quality shots. As previously mentioned, we see beauty in the photos that we have chosen (and trust us, we have some awful attempts we aren't using!); if you want your picture removed, or have other comments for us on a specific photo, note the PHOTO ID which is beneath the photo on the left-hand side and send us an e-mail about it. We will jump on it right away.
